Workers Strike GM Parts Plant: Employees walked off the job at a General Motors Corp. parts plant in Flint, Mich., in a strike that GM officials said could shut down up to eight other assembly plants. The walkout at GM’s AC Rochester Division Flint West plant came after negotiations on employee grievances about health and safety issues broke off about 9:25 a.m., said Duane Zuckschwerdt, a United Auto Workers union bargainer.
