WORLD IN BRIEF : LEBANON : Israeli-Backed Force Kills 2 Palestinians

Israeli-affiliated militiamen killed two guerrillas of the Libyan-backed Palestine Popular Struggle Front while they were trying to cross into Israel’s self-proclaimed security zone in south Lebanon, police said. The Israeli-backed South Lebanon Army militia spotted the guerrillas as they were trying to infiltrate into the security zone east of Sidon, the southern provincial capital. The police spokesman said the guerrillas were killed in a brief clash with the militia.
