WORLD IN BRIEF : LEBANON : Faction Says It Will Free Swiss Hostages

A previously unknown faction calling itself the Palestine Revolutionary Squads said it will release two Swiss hostages of the International Committee of the Red Cross within 24 hours. The statement, handwritten in Arabic, was delivered to the independent Beirut newspaper An Nahar along with a photograph of Swiss captive Emmanuel Christen, 32. He and the other hostage, Elio Erriquez, 23, were kidnaped Oct. 6, 1989, in Sidon.
