Robert A. Dourian was promoted to executive vice president-human relations of Carter Hawley Hale Stores. Dourian, 58, is assuming responsibilities previously handled by Executive Vice President Loyd E. Ellis, 67, who will continue to oversee the company’s information services division. Dourian has been executive vice president-personnel at Carter Hawley’s Broadway-Southern California division since joining the company from IBM in 1986.
