London Theater Tickets

As an avid theater fan and traveler, I found Cathy Curtis’ article on obtaining theater tickets in London quite interesting. While I agree with several of her suggestions, I was appalled by her recommendation of London Theatre News as a source of updated information.

Last June, I purchased a three-month subscription. What I received was a glossy paper collection of press clippings. One of the more current items was a review of a biography of Laurence Olivier that I had read six months earlier. This up-to-date edition, dated June 1989, was postmarked July 14, 1989.

I have found the easiest way to get tickets is to buy a London paper, choose a show and call the box office directly.
