Custom Home Lots Available
Two Southland builders are putting dozens of custom home sites up for sale this weekend.
Kaufman & Broad Home Corp. is offering 69 lots in its California Chateau, a 123-unit custom home development in the Quartz Hill area of northern Los Angeles County. Each lot is about one-half acre, with prices ranging from $59,990 to $104,990.
Concrete slabs are already poured for most of the sites, utilities have been installed and all necessary permits have been obtained. The purchase price includes plans drawn up by Kaufman & Broad’s architectural staff.
Kaufman & Broad has already built more than 50 custom homes at the development.
The company said it is selling the remaining lots to individuals because the higher-end segment of the Antelope Valley’s housing market “is very soft right now.†Selling the lots will allow the company to refocus on its core business of building lower-priced homes.
The complex is at the corner of Avenue N and West 60th Street, reached from the westbound Avenue N exit of California 14. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Meantime, Haseko/Wilson Associates has placed six custom building sites in Promontory Estates at MountainGate on the market at prices ranging from $750,00 to $1,350,000.
The lots range in size from 9,500 to 20,700 square feet. There is a $464 monthly maintenance charge for common-area recreational elements, including a swimming pool and recreation building.
A sales office is open from noon to 6 p.m. daily at 12440 Promontory Road in Brentwood, reached from MountainGate Drive off Sepulveda Boulevard.
