Sri Lankan Troops Kill 19 Tamil Rebels

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Sri Lankan forces killed 19 Tamil rebels in the north and east, military sources said Friday.
Rebels, fighting for a separate homeland for Sri Lanka’s Tamil minority, killed 21 members of the Sinhalese majority community and 21 Muslims in a 10-day period.
