Raymond Girvigian, a South Pasadena historical preservation architect, has been honored by two cultural groups for his career achievements in the preservation of historical landmarks. He received a Gold Crown Award from the Pasadena Arts Council and the Golden Palm Award from Hollywood Heritage.
Girvigian is known for his restoration and consulting work on numerous projects, including the state Capitol, the Pasadena and Los Angeles central libraries, the Riverside Mission Inn and the Workman Temple Homestead Museum in Industry. He serves on the State Historical Building Code Board and is chairman of the State Historic Capitol Commission.
