Gov. Deukmejian, Legislators End Budget Impasse

Any politician or educator familiar with the situation knows that the sole reason for the governor’s elimination of the very successful California (School) Assessment Program is to punish Bill Honig, the elected state superintendent of education. Deukmejian’s destruction of public assets merely to satisfy a vindictive personal whim should be condemned for what it is: vandalism.
