A teen-ager was shot to death and another was critically wounded Friday in a gang-related shooting in the middle of a Hollywood intersection, police said. The identities of the dead and injured teens were not released.
Detective James Leahy said the shootings occurred about 7:30 a.m. after two gang members surprised a pair of rival gang members in the middle of the intersection of Gower Street and Fountain Avenue.
One of the gang members fired on the other two in an attack witnessed by about 20 people, Leahy said. Police arrested two suspects in the assault, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old youth. Their names were not released because of their ages.
