SIMI VALLEY : Wilson, Etter to Run for Mayor, Council
Alfred J. Wilson Jr., 55, has filed papers to run for Simi Valley mayor in the Nov. 6 election, and John Etter, 45, has filed for Simi Valley City Council, a spokeswoman for the city clerk’s office said Tuesday.
Simi Valley Mayor Gregg Stratton said he plans to pick up nomination papers today to run for reelection.
Etter will run for the seat being vacated by Councilwoman Vicky Howard, who is running for the County Board of Supervisors.
In the race for two open positions on the Simi Unified School District board, Lewis Roth has taken out nomination papers for reelection, and Carla Kurchi has taken out papers to run for school board president, a position now occupied by Helen Beebe, who is retiring.
No candidates have officially filed papers.
