Jari Kurri, who helped the Edmonton Oilers win five Stanley Cups and became the most prolific European scorer ever to play in the NHL, is off to Italy to play hockey, according to the Edmonton Sun.
The right wing has signed a two-year deal to play with the Milan Devils of the Italian league that could make him the highest-paid player in European hockey history.
Kurri, who became a free agent July 1, scored 474 goals and had 569 assists for 1,043 points and an average of more than 100 points per season. His 92 playoff goals are the most in NHL history.
