Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos of Pacific Palisades advanced to the semifinals of a pro beach volleyball tournament at Chicago by beating Tim Walmer of Manhattan Beach and Al Janc of San Diego, 15-9. Smith and Stoklos, the top-seeded team, will meet Pat Powers of San Diego and Roger Clark of Pacific Palisades, who beat Mike Dodd of Manhattan Beach and Scott Ayakatubby of Hermosa Beach, 15-11.
