Brajdas Corp. of Woodland Hills, an electronic components distributor, reported a net loss of $119,064 for the fiscal first quarter that ended May 31, while revenue fell 21% to $12.3 million. A year earlier, the company earned $5,728 on $15.6 million in revenue.
Brajdas said it has laid off more than 30% of its work force and cut costs by 20% during the past year but indicated a return to profitability is dependent on a rebound in the depressed electronic components industry.
