A grocery store cashier foiled a holdup Thursday when she slammed her cash drawer shut and refused to hand over any money, police said.
The incident occurred at a Lucky Food Center at 12451 Seal Beach Blvd. when a man “approached the cashier, who was counting the money in the cash drawer, and demanded all the money as he displayed a handgun under his shirt in his waistband,” said Seal Beach Police Sgt. Ross Smith.
“The cashier closed the drawer and he fled.”
Police are looking for the man.
