CBS, Tribune Entertainment to Pay Copyright Damages: A federal judge Thursday ordered CBS Inc., Tribune Entertainment Co. and Geraldo Rivera’s Investigative News Group to pay a total of $3,000 in a copyright suit stemming from their use of clips of Charles Manson and his family. The suit was brought by movie producer Robert Hendrickson, who had sought $310,000 because the defendants used two minutes of footage from his 1973 documentary “Manson.” (Filed May 1, 1989. Case No. CV89-2601)
