California IN BRIEF : LIVERMORE : Boy Found Dead Inside Camp Cooler

A 4-year-old boy has died after being found inside a camp cooler fitted with a latch that locked automatically when the lid dropped. Jacob Green was found unconscious late Friday inside the old metal cooler stored underneath a workbench in the family garage, police said. The boy was declared dead on arrival at Valley Memorial Hospital. Jacob’s mother, Kary Green, had called police during the afternoon to report the boy missing.
