Deja Vu Desilu: CBS and producer Larry Thompson have launched “The Great Lucy and Desi Search,†a nationwide talent search to find either known or unknown actors to play Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in the upcoming made-for-television movie “Lucy and Desi: Before the Laughter.†The drama will chronicle the couple’s relationship from 1940, when they first met at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, to just after the premiere of “I Love Lucy†in 1951. An open casting call will be held July 16 at CBS Television City.
