The City Council on Tuesday unanimously adopted a $42.5-million budget for the 1990-91 fiscal year.
Among increases approved were interim Finance Director Jerry Shuster’s request for an additional $9,000 to hire a part-time employee, and $33,600 for Colen & Lee, the city’s workers’ compensation administrator.
But the council turned down a Chamber of Commerce request for an additional $20,000 for operating costs.
Also, the Arcadia Redevelopment Agency voted to purchase property at 154 E. Huntington Drive, as part of the Southwest Corner Project, for $580,000. The property will be resold to developers.
