REDS: Martin Lopata, whose Newport Beach firm will open the first video rental service for Western-produced movies in the Soviet Union, says he has government assurance that there will be no censorship on the type of movies it rents out (D1). . . . “Of course,” Lopata adds, “common sense tells us we not send ‘Hunt for Red October’ or any anti-Soviet films,” referring to a movie about a renegade Soviet submariner who wanted to defect.
