American Paul Chamberlin set back the Wimbledon preparations of Pat Cash of Australia, upsetting the 1987 champion, 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 on the opening day of the $450,000 Stella Artois grass court tennis tournament in London.
Chamberlin’s victory spoiled the expected second-round matchup between Cash and reigning Wimbledon champion Boris Becker, who had a first-round bye.
