Turkish Jet Crashes; 1 Dead

ISTANBUL, Turkey — A Turkish air force F-5 fighter-bomber crashed Thursday near the central Anatolian town of Konya, killing its pilot, aviation officials said. The officials told reporters that the plane, from an air base in Konya, 163 miles south of Ankara, crashed in a non-residential area about one mile from the military airport.
