Fluor Daniel, the primary engineering and construction arm of Irvine-based Fluor Corp., said Thursday that it has received six new contracts with a combined value of $30 million.
Fluor Daniel’s Alaska office has been awarded two contracts worth $17 million by Arco Alaska Inc., a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Atlantic Richfield Co., to provide engineering and technical services in Anchorage and on Alaska’s North Slope.
Fluor Daniel also received two contracts, valued at $8 million, from Fort Dodge Laboratories, a division of New York-based American Home Products Corp., to help build a veterinary products manufacturing facility in Sligo, Ireland, and to expand an existing veterinary products facility in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.
Also, the company has been awarded two contracts by Big Rivers Electric Corp. and the city of Henderson, Ky., to provide maintenance services for nine coal-fired generating units at three sites in western Kentucky. The contracts have a total value of $5 million.
In addition, the company has said it is negotiating an agreement with Ingenieurbetrieb Anlagenbau Leipzigto, the largest engineering and construction services company in East Germany. Under the proposal, Fluor would work on hydrocarbon, industrial and process projects in East Germany and other Eastern European countries.
