OCC Crew Qualifies for Junior Varsity Final

The Orange Coast College crew qualified for the junior varsity final of the Intercollegiate Rowing Assn. championship today by finishing second to California in its heat Friday on Lake Onondaga in Liverpool, N.Y.
Orange Coast’s eight finished the 2,000-meter course in 6 minutes 16.8 seconds, less than a second behind Cal, which finished in 6:16.0.
Orange Coast and Cal will be joined in the final by Brown, Wisconsin, Navy and Pennsylvania.
