Walnut : Project Costs Spark Appeal
The City Council agreed last week to explore financing options so that a $74,193 shortfall in the construction of Avenida Esplendor won’t have to be paid by residents in that western Walnut assessment district.
The residents told council members they were concerned that the shortfall, mainly the result of unanticipated soil problems, will further increase their tax burden.
