TOKYO : Cambodia: Another Round

With rumors that a Cambodia truce agreement may be signed soon, the focus of negotiations shifts from the United Nations to Tokyo, where two days of talks are scheduled beginning next Monday.

Thailand’s prime minister, Chatchai Choonhavan, was quoted as saying the four warring factions in Cambodia have agreed to a cease-fire--the first significant agreement reached in 11 years of conflict.

Hun Sen, Cambodia’s Communist premier; Prince Norodom Sihanouk, the main non-Communist guerrilla leader, and Son Sann, head of the other non-Communist faction, are all expected to attend. It is not certain that the Khmer Rouge will participate.
