NCAA investigators said that a lack of “institutional control” at the University of Florida led to major rules violations in the basketball and football programs.
The violations were included in an official letter of inquiry to the university, which has been under NCAA investigation for nearly a year.
The allegations included three substantive charges each against the football and basketball programs, University President John Lombardi said in a statement.
