A La Mesa man suffered major injuries when he lost control of his motorcycle near Lake Jennings Park Road on Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
Stanley Weber, 34, was traveling at high speed north on El Monte Road, four miles north of Lake Jennings Park Road, when he lost control of the cycle and was thrown from it.
Weber was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
