LOCAL : Crash Clogs Orange Freeway
An accident involving a big-rig truck and four other vehicles today tied up both directions of rush-hour traffic on the Orange Freeway for nearly 90 minutes, authorities said.
No one was injured in the 8:15 a.m. accident, which occurred just north of the Lambert Road off-ramp, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
The northbound truck apparently caused the accident when it ran into the center divider for an unknown reason, the dispatcher said.
All four lanes of northbound traffic were temporarily closed and southbound lanes were congested as the CHP worked to clear the scene, authorities said.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
