A two-alarm fire caused $500,000 damage to a building containing several commercial businesses in Chula Vista, firefighters said.
Sam Lopez, Chula Vista’s assistant fire chief, said the first alarm was called in at 9:50 a.m. from the 2500 block of Main Street. It took 35 firefighters from San Diego and Chula Vista almost an hour to bring the fire under control, Lopez said. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
