BATTLING THE MEDFLY
The state Department of Food and Agriculture will conduct aerial spraying of malathion tonight beginning at 9 p.m., weather permitting.
Area: All of area in top map, encompassing parts of Charter Oaks, Covina, Glendora, San Dimas and West Covina; in second map, shaded area including most of Walnut, southeast corner of West Covina and portions of L.A. County; in bottom map, shaded area encompassing parts of Phillips Ranch, western Pomona and all of Puddingstone Reservoir.
Precautions: Stay indoors; keep animals indoors; wash animal dishes and toys left outside; cover cars; keep doors and windows closed.
