Officials from the Sun Carnival Assn. hope to move the John Hancock Bowl to New Year’s Day.

“The game’s tentatively set to go Dec. 29,” Hancock Bowl official Marc Boehm said. “But there’s an NFL game at 1 p.m. on NBC between the Chicago Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs. And it’s very difficult to go against the NFL.”
