SHORT TAKES : Hampton’s Berlin Wall Show Set

NEW YORK — Vibraphone jazz musician Lionel Hampton plans to put a few more cracks in the Berlin Wall during a concert there Sunday. “I plan to get people there stamping their feet and clapping their hands so hard that enough new cracks in the Berlin Wall will appear to make it easier for future bulldozers to knock it over,” Hampton said.
Hampton, who is celebrating his 81st birthday with a tour of Europe.
