Times Mirror Annual Meeting: Times Mirror Co. will push ahead with expansion and modernization programs while doing as much possible to control costs, Chairman Robert F. Erburu told shareholders at the company’s annual meeting in Los Angeles. Erburu said the outlook for the company, which owns The Times and other media properties, is good over the next decade, even though first quarter-earnings slipped, largely because of poor economic conditions in the Northeast. Six directors were reelected at the meeting: investor Gwendolyn Garland Babcock, Rockwell International Chairman Donald R. Beall, investor Peter S. Bing, former Pacific Mutual Life Chairman Walter B. Gerken, Times Mirror Vice Chairman Phillip L. Williams and Chandis Securities Chairman Warren B. Williamson.
