Michigan Companies Recall Sausage: Two Michigan food processors are voluntarily recalling 3,500 pounds of sausage because the products may contain sulfite, the Agriculture Department announced. Dave’s Sausage Factory in Detroit recalled 3,000 pounds, and Mancini Sausage Co. recalled 500 pounds, officials said. The sausage links produced by Dave’s are sold under the names “Wisbisky’s Polish Sausage,†“Vetro’s Italian Sausage†and “Dave’s Pork Links.†The Mancini product is sold only to delicatessens under the name, “Polish Brand Sausage.†Consumers may call the USDA hot line at (800) 535-4555.
