Lagomarsino Ignoring Constituents

I have read and reread the article on Rep. Robert J. Lagomarsino (R-Ventura) and child care (April 13). He sponsors a bill that is eventually incorporated into national legislation, but now he may vote against that bill. Why? President Bush does not favor this bill and our representative, Lagomarsino, will not oppose the President.

Representatives are in the House to speak for their constituents--the people that live and work in their districts. Bush is not a Lagomarsino constituent. I am. My friends, neighbors and relatives are. Bush calls Texas home. We, Lagomarsino included, call Ventura County, California, our home.

If our Republican representative wants Bush as a constituent, I’m going to do everything I can to see that he moves to Texas. I want someone to represent me and my neighbors.

Child care is a part of the future of our nation. We can’t afford not to see that this bill passes. I’m going to vote for someone who cares about our families and our kids. I’m voting against Lagomarsino and his false order of representation. I invite all of you to join me. Send Bob Lagomarsino to Texas so he can properly call George Bush his constituent.
