Countywide : United Way Elects 1990-91 Directors

The United Way of Orange County elected its 1990-91 board of directors and saluted some of its most active volunteers this week during the organization’s annual meeting.
About 150 United Way volunteers and staff attended the meeting in Costa Mesa at which 15 board members were elected to serve terms of one, two and three years.
Awards were presented to past board members, volunteers and business leaders for community service and support of the organization.
Home Aid, a nonprofit arm of the Builders Industry Assn. of Southern California, was recognized as “an outstanding contributor” for $1 million in renovations to homeless shelters in Orange County.
Last year the United Way of Orange County, working with local government, business, labor and community groups, raised $20.6 million in pledges to benefit 120 regional health- and human-service organizations.
