San Diego police were investigating the death of an unidentified teen-ager who witnesses say was pushed out of a moving vehicle Sunday.
The victim, a Latina about 11 to 12 years old, was reportedly shoved out of a car traveling north on Interstate 5 near Old Town about 1:30 a.m., Deputy Coroner Jerry Hillbrand said.
The girl, who was found alive by paramedics, died of her injuries at 2:07 a.m. near the roadside where she was found, Hillbrand said.
She was described as 5 feet tall, 119 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a gray and black, heavy wool sweater, jeans and white sandals.
