PREP ROUNDUP : Kaudi Propels Southern California Christian

Winning pitcher Matt Kaudi hit two home runs to lead Southern California Christian High School to an 11-2 victory over host Sherman Indian in an Arrowhead League baseball game Thursday.
Jose Arce also had a home run for Southern California Christian (7-2 and 5-1 in league play).
In Century League softball:
Canyon 12, Santa Ana 1--Daliynne Large had four hits, including a double and triple, and four RBIs to lead visiting Canyon (14-2, 2-1) over Santa Ana (7-10, 1-3).
Villa Park 3, El Modena 2--Jamie Franco hit a solo home run in the fourth for visiting Villa Park (9-8-1, 4-0).
In Empire League softball:
Cypress 2, Loara 0--Beth Howard pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight for Cypress (18-4, 4-0). Liz Moore hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth for Cypress.
Katella 3, Esperanza 1--Leslie Gerbin tossed a five-hitter for visiting Katella.
Los Alamitos 3, El Dorado 1--Christy Bowls homered in the first for visiting Los Alamitos (13-6, 3-1).
In Freeway League softball:
Buena Park 2, Fullerton 0--Fullerton (8-9, 2-2) pitcher Kathleen Kennedy pitched a no-hitter with five strikeouts and three walks but lost. Buena Park’s Shannon Akau (12-1) pitched a one-hitter, had 10 strikeouts and an RBI to lead host Buena Park (12-1-1, 4-0).
In Garden Grove League softball:
Garden Grove 11, Santiago 0 (6 innings)--Stephanie Smith pitched a six-hitter, striking out 14, for Garden Grove (16-3-1, 7-0-1) at Santiago.
Kennedy 5, Rancho Alamitos 2--Freshman Lana Jimenez was four for four for host Kennedy (16-2-1, 7-0-1).
In Olympic League softball:
Whittier Christian 21, Brethren 0--Veronica Martinez (6-4) pitched a no-hitter in a five-inning game shortened by the mercy rule, striking out six and walking three for Whittier Christian (9-5, 4-3).
Santa Margarita 15, Whitney 7--Michelle Methot was four for five and scored three runs, Erika Gambale had a homer and Sarah Witte had four RBIs for visiting Santa Margarita (10-1, 7-1).
In Pacific Coast League softball:
Trabuco Hills 7, Laguna Beach 3--Winning pitcher Brianna Burkman (9-5) had two hits, scored once and had one RBI, and Amy Rodriguez had two hits, scored and had two RBIs to lead Trabuco Hills (15-6, 4-0).
In Freeway League boys’ tennis:
Fullerton 13, Troy 5--Chris Hartshorn swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, to lead host Fullerton (13-2, 6-1).
In Garden Grove League boys’ tennis:
La Quinta 16, Pacifica 2--Phillip Lim swept, 6-0, 6-2, 6-2, to improve his league record to 26-1 for visiting La Quinta (13-4, 9-3).
In Olympic League boys’ tennis:
Santa Margarita 15, Marshall 3--The No. 1 doubles team of Sean Crafts and Jed Siacor swept, 6-1, 6-1, 6-2, for host Santa Margarita (11-3, 7-0).
In Orange League tennis:
Western 9, Brea-Olinda 9 (Western wins on games, 79-75)--James Yu won three sets, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0, for host Western.
In Pacific Coast League boys’ tennis:
Laguna Beach 12, Laguna Hills 6--Jason Tonkin and Adam Donner swept, 7-5, 6-2, 7-5, to lead visiting Laguna Beach (10-4, 5-1).
In Sunset League boys’ tennis:
Fountain Valley 11, Marina 7--Colby Morita swept, 6-0, 6-1, 6-3, to lead host Fountain Valley (14-4, 8-0).
Huntington Beach 12, Westminster 6--Bac Nguyen swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1, to lead Huntington Beach at Westminster.
In Orange League golf:
Valencia 192, Magnolia 276--Chris Tidland of Valencia shot a three-under-par 33 for Valencia (14-0, 6-0) at Dad Miller Golf Course.
In Sea View League golf:
Newport Harbor 209, University 212--Erik Freeman shot a par 36 to lead Newport Harbor at Rancho San Joaquin.
In Sunset League golf:
Huntington Beach 389, Westminster 425--Scott Gibson shot a two-under-par 68 at Meadowlark to lead Huntington Beach.
