Pacific Palisades : Care Facility Approved
- Share via
The City Council tentatively approved the construction of a five-story care facility for senior citizens at the Rossmoor Regency despite the objections of nearby residents.
The council approved the project at 700 N. Doheny Drive with the contingency that the developer return to the council for further approval of the building’s design and setback requirements.
The council also directed the developer to scale down the proposed structure to five-stories with a maximum of 138 units. A 35-square-foot park at the east end of the building also was included as a requirement for approval.
Residents who opposed the project complained that it would create major traffic problems in the largely residential area.
