El Toro’s Lauby Picks North Carolina

Paige Lauby, a pitcher for El Toro High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play softball at North Carolina.

Lauby, a first-team all-South Coast League selection the past two seasons, is 7-1 with a 0.12 earned-run average and 123 strikeouts this season.

She also considered Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Drake.
