Elvis Tribute Released, but Not Here: The long-anticipated British album of Elvis Presley remakes by top rock stars is finally out. But don’t hop in your car and head to the local record store. The two-CD set of “Elvis: Songs From His Movies,� is only available in Europe. No U.S. release is planned, and the album is only available by mail order through April. Among the Elvis tributes: “Viva Las Vegas� by Bruce Springsteen, “It’s Now or Never� by Paul McCartney, “Can’t Help Falling in Love� by Hall and Oates, “Let’s Have a Party� by Robert Plant, “Guitar Man� by the Jesus and Mary Chain, and the Cramps’ punk version of “Jailhouse Rock.� The set also includes Presley’s previously unreleased version of “King of the Whole Wide World.� Proceeds from sales go to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy for mentally disabled children.
