Driver Found Stabbed to Death at Crash Scene
A motorist was stabbed to death by a passenger while driving on San Fernando Road early Saturday, the San Fernando Police Department reported.
Enrique Jasso Arias, 34, of Sylmar, was found dead next to his car by paramedics who responded to a report of an accident on San Fernando Road near Wolfskill Street about 4:50 a.m., Lt. Rico Castro said. The man apparently was stabbed in Pacoima just outside the city of San Fernando and drove into San Fernando before running off the road and crashing into several parked cars, police said.
“Preliminary indications show he was assaulted by a passenger while driving westbound on San Fernando Road,” Castro said.
Arias appeared to have been stabbed once in the chest, Castro said. No motive had been determined, and there were no suspects, he said.
