Soroptimists Present Awards to 6 Students

Soroptimist International of Covina/West Covina has given awards to local high school students who have overcome special problems in their quest to complete their education. The awards honor students who have disabilities or personal problems but manage to find ways to continue school.
The awards of $339 each went to Patty Lomeli, Azusa High; Lisa McDonald, Covina; James Gooch, Charter Oak; Manhao Chhor , Glendora; Janet Inacay, South Hills, and Kandy Rumford, West Covina.
