Saddleback 3, Cypress 2--Brent Ferguson hit a three-run home run in the eighth off Cypress relief pitcher Chad Troxel to give Saddleback the victory at home. Cypress had taken the lead on Tom Puppe’s two-run home run in the sixth. Ferguson leads Saddleback (9-11, 3-8) in home runs (three) and RBIs (20). Cypress is 14-12, 3-8.

Orange Coast 14, Fullerton 9--Rod McCall hit two home runs, collected five RBIs and scored three times for host Orange Coast. Joe Pence was two for three with a double and four runs scored for OCC (10-13, 3-8). Tom Irwin (4-2) struck out nine in his complete-game victory. Tom Wilson hit a two-run homer for Fullerton (7-4 in conference).
