Tom Jager earned $12,000 in 21.81 seconds by breaking his world record while beating Matt Biondi in a 50-meter match race at the U.S. Swimming Sprint Championships at Nashville, Tenn.
Jager won $10,000 for beating Biondi, the 1988 Olympic gold medalist, and picked up another $2,000 for the world record.
