Agoura Pitcher Kazmirski Orally Commits to Fresno State
Bob Kazmirski, a pitcher and shortstop at Agoura High, has orally committed to play next season at Fresno State.
Kazmirski, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-hander, also made recruiting trips to Pepperdine, Pacific and Nevada Reno. He was 7-1 with an earned-run average of 1.47 last season and 6-0 with a 2.80 ERA and five saves for the Westlake-Agoura American Legion team last summer.
Kazmirski, recruited by Fresno State as a pitcher, is 0-2 this season but is batting .422.
“I think he’s been a little distracted by the recruiting,†his father said. “He’s glad it’s over. He should settle down now.â€
Kazmirski is the third member of the District 16 champion Westlake-Agoura team to orally commit to a Division I school. Tim Falsken and Mike Lieberthal--both of whom attend Westlake--have committed to play at Cal State Long Beach and Arizona State. The start of the next signing period for high seniors is April 11.
