In response to “Quayle Chides Castro but Fidel Gets Limelight,” Part A, March 16:
I have never been supportive of U.S. foreign policy anywhere, but if instituting “democracy” abroad is really in this Administration’s best interest then I suggest that Vice President Dan Quayle be kept from doing any more traveling abroad. Indeed, as his recent visit to Latin America testifies, Quayle--by his very ignorance in politics, self-righteous attitude and undiplomatic behavior--has done much to discredit U.S. intervention anywhere.
