Rohr to Provide MD-90 Nacelles: Chula Vista-based Rohr Industries has received a contract worth more than $1 billion from International Aero Engines to supply jet engine nacelles or casings for the McDonnell Douglas MD-90 airliner. The contract will mean no additional jobs and will replace an existing Rohr contract to supply jet engine casings for the MD-80, the previous generation of McDonnell Douglas commercial jetliners. Deliveries on the new contract will begin in 1993 and continue for an unspecified number of years depending on market demand.
