Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found Monday morning in a field near the Antelope Valley Freeway in Lancaster.
The body of the unidentified man was found about 8:15 a.m. by a hunter who was passing through the undeveloped area off Avenue G, about 200 yards east of the freeway, deputies said.
The victim had been shot in the upper body and the killing apparently took place several days ago, deputies said. There were no suspects, deputies said.
